Call for ‘papers’ – Deadline extended

We are calling for ‘papers’ for the Festival of Dyslexic  Culture Symposium on 9 (& 10) October 2015 at London Metropolitan University.  Submissions preferred from people who identify as dyslexic, dyspraxic, AD(H)D, dyscalculic, or autistic (including Asperger’s).

Although you have missed the formal deadline, we are happy to consider late submissions.   All submissions will be evaluated by a Festival panel.  Confirmation of acceptance is expected to be before the end of July.  We can offer free admission for the day you are presenting and we expect to be able to offer up to £100 in expenses (more in exceptional circumstances).

We are looking for papers and submissions which celebrate our strengths, are underpinned by the concept of neurodiversity, and will be highly interactive.  We are likely to prefer presentations that investigate better forms of learning assessment, political strategies for neuro-liberation and anti-neurism, and issues of employment.  But we are more than happy to be surprised by your ideas!

Please submit an abstract, mind map, or video through this online form: Submissions
